In 2015, Emilie Sobels (Branch A) founded her company #Workmode. Pronounced: Hashtag Workmode. The company focuses on young women, in particular freelancers, renting workspaces to them. With success: Emilie has now opened five locations in Amsterdam (2 locations), Rotterdam, Utrecht and Groningen.
Emilie does not sit still. In collaboration with co-author Martje Haverkamp, she published the book Babe, you got this in 2017. Later they added the workbook of the same name.
For Babe, you got this, Emilie and Martje asked more than twenty inspiring, successful female entrepreneurs and business wonders for advice. How did they know where their strength lay, and how did they achieve their goals? What missteps did they make, and how do they stay true to themselves and their ideals? How do you sell yourself or your ideas to others? How do you build the ultimate network? And above all: how do you combine all your ambitions with your social life without going completely crazy?
In July 2020 a second book followed, The Selfmade Guide: THE business book by and for women who set their own rules for success. In this book, Roxeanne Hazes, Yara Michels and Mona Keijzer, among others, share their most important business lessons, but also their pitfalls and mistakes.
