Pauline Insinger-Boreel,
commissioner, chair

I have been a commissioner on the board of Fonds Stoop since 1998. Branch C had grown to such an extent that it justified an additional commissioner. Since 2023 I have served as chair. Within the Fund I am mainly involved with “The Green Book”, which appears every five years in the year of the descendants’ meeting and the Stoop Celebration. In daily life I am the editorial secretary of a legal journal in the field of company law and financial law. In my earlier positions too, as a lawyer and trainee civil-law notary, I was always occupied with texts and legal matters. It will surprise no one that reading is one of my hobbies. I also enjoy, among other things, singing and ice skating, my partner and my daughter. (1964, Branch C)

Pieter van Berckel,
commissioner, treasurer

I live in Hippolytushoef and am married to Martine Visser ‘t Hooft. We have three children who are studying. In my free time I do a lot of sport: I am an enthusiastic sailor, tennis player and golfer. In the summer months I am often to be found in the mountains. I sit on a number of boards of asset-management foundations and, since 2008, also on the board of the Stoop Fund as treasurer. After studying law, I joined F. van Lanschot Bankiers in 1990. In 2004 I moved to MeesPierson and eventually ABN AMRO MeesPierson. Since June 2018 I have been with Capital Support, a multi-family office in The Hague. (Branch C)

Priscilla Raadsen Tielenius Kruijthoff, commissioner, secretary, editorial, webmaster, social media

In 2018 I was enthusiastically welcomed as a new commissioner of the Stoop Fund. In daily life I work in the field of online and offline graphic design and communication. Privately I express myself as a mixed-media artist and am very interested in spiritual and occult “matters”. I also use my talents in design and communication for the Fund, such as: designing and copywriting for the newsletter and maintaining the Fund’s website. I live in Hilversum and am unmarried without children. (1974, Branch B)

Emile van der Borch van Verwolde, commissioner

Since 2018 I have been part of the board of the Stoop Fund as a commissioner, representing branch B. I joined because I find the purpose of the fund particularly appealing. It is wonderful to be able to mean something for the descendants of Stoop in this way. I too was able to make use of the fund during my studies. Thanks to this support I could pursue my dream and study oceanography in Cape Town, South Africa. My career began at Fugro, where I worked at sea in, among other places, Norway, the North Sea and Africa, for the offshore industry. Within Fugro I was given the chance to grow into a role within my field, which even took me to Oxford for two years. After that I worked at a small academic company in Haarlem that designs and produces wave-measurement buoys. I have now been with Shell for more than 15 years. I am currently involved in hydrogen import and support the president-director of Shell Netherlands as a strategic adviser. I live with my partner, Iris Hummel, in Scheveningen. I have four children, two of them from a previous marriage. My passion for the sea is great. I am therefore often on or near the water, usually on my surfboard. I also enjoy walking and love doing all kinds of things with my family: from visiting museums and playing games to football, skiing and even visiting playgrounds. Koen van Lynden,
commissioner

In 2023 I joined the board of Fonds Stoop. Together with my partner Sophie, daughter Flore (’23) and son Friso (’26), I live in Horgen, Switzerland. After my studies in Utrecht and Amsterdam, I began my professional career in the medical division of Roche Diagnostics. Here I mainly focus on the cardiology speciality. In my free time I play squash regularly and happily spend time on the golf course, in the kitchen or at the BBQ.
As a commissioner I am glad to do my bit for the Fund, having been supported by the Fund as a student myself. I have also co-organised 2 of the last 3 Stoop Celebrations. I look forward to strengthening contact among the descendants. (Branch A)

Willem van Lynden,
commissioner

Since 2023 I have been a commissioner of Fonds Stoop, when my father Carel stepped down as chair, just as he succeeded his father Frank 30 years ago.
Born in 1985 in Rotterdam, I moved to Utrecht in 2004 where I studied Economics. After this I moved to Amsterdam and started my company MediaMaze, a PR agency. My wife Rosemarie and I started our family. We now live with our two daughters and a son in Bloemendaal. (1985, Branch A)

Francis Beelaerts van Blokland, administrator

In 2018 I was asked whether I would take on the administrator role at Fonds Stoop. Since I too had made use of the Fund in difficult times, I felt it was time to give something back. The Fund’s contribution provided much-needed peace of mind and gave us the support we needed at the time.
The wonderful thing about my role as administrator is that I have a great deal of contact with family members. That also fits well with my profession as a coach. At the moment I am following a training course in Family Constellations. This in-depth training has given me many new insights into family structures. Perhaps family members can benefit from this in the future. (1966, Branch C)

Commissioner

In the board meeting, incoming documents and applications for support and/or study grants are discussed. Commissioners decide whether an application is (partly) granted. The financial situation of the previous half-year is presented and approved. The progress of current matters, such as a new website and applicable GDPR legislation and regulations, is discussed and tasks are divided. One year before the new Stoop Celebration, tasks relating to its organisation and execution are divided.

Treasurer

Each year the treasurer proposes the budget scope to the board and presents the annual financial report. The treasurer makes and authorises payments. The treasurer formulates proposals for the board’s decision-making on the policy regarding how the assets should be managed. The treasurer consults regularly with, and supervises, the asset manager to ensure they act in accordance with the proposed policy, and adjusts where necessary. The treasurer checks and assesses the financial data and informs the board and stakeholders about the financial state of affairs. The treasurer takes out relevant insurance.

Administrator

The administrator prepares the meeting (organising and sending out meeting documents). The administrator takes the minutes of the meeting and follows up on action points. The administrator processes incoming messages (changes to descendants in the database) and pays out granted support/study grants. The administrator handles the administrative organisation of the five-yearly meeting and the Stoop Celebration and sends out invitations and newsletters. Where necessary, the administrator is supported by the commissioners.
