Introduction
A payment may be provided to adult descendants if a descendant is in a situation of “support” (onderstand). This is a situation in which the descendant and/or his or her partner and/or minor children are unable to provide for his or her livelihood in an acceptable way.
Please read the Conditions and Considerations below first before submitting the Support Application Form. The Conditions and Considerations may have changed since the last time you submitted a Support Application.

Conditions
To apply for a payment, the descendant must submit an application form to the administrator, stating:
• all income and expenditure, where possible expressed as monthly amounts (if living together with a partner, for both),
• a statement of assets (if living together with a partner, for both),
• a statement of reasons why a grant is requested.
• Commissioners may request other or further documents, such as (but not limited to) tax returns and bank statements.
• If the descendant (and/or his or her partner) has assets, the principle is that these are drawn on before an appeal can be made to the Fund.
• Payments are in principle awarded half-yearly – in February and in July, and must be applied for per half-year.
• Support may be applied for twice a year, and documents must be sent to the administrator before 30 May or 31 December of the current year. This can be done via the digital Support application form or by email: info@stoopfonds.nl. With the latter option, you must enclose the completed form and the statement of reasons.
• The maximum payment is currently EUR 2,000 per half-year. Commissioners may adjust this amount at any time.
Considerations
• Commissioners point out that the Fund does not report payments to descendants to any authority. Whether and to what extent payments, whether or not in combination with other benefits, have tax or other consequences for a descendant is for the account and risk of the descendant. The descendant must therefore ascertain this for themselves and, where necessary, take appropriate measures.
• Commissioners may deviate from the above rules without prior notice.
