In May 2026, the Fonds Stoop database contains records of 1,287 people. 854 of these are living descendants, and of course they do not all live in the Netherlands. Fonds Stoop was given the idea of showing on a map where all the descendants are located around the world. A wonderful idea!
A few facts in a row:
The descendants live in 22 different countries. Think of countries in Europe, North and South America, and on the continent of Australia. A few descendants also live in Malaysia and on Curaçao. Eurasia, Africa and the Middle East are, as you can see, less “popular”.
In Europe the descendants live in, naturally, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy and Greece.
In the Netherlands many descendants live in the cities of Amsterdam, Utrecht and The Hague.
